My Gaggia platinum vision is pretty new, only about a month old and one morning I went to make coffee as usual and the screen was blank with a slight light blinking. I turned the machine on and off, I unplugged it and plugged it back in with no results. I am in L.A. so I looked up a place to take it in for service. After it sat in the man's shop for 11 days, he called and said there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with it. He charged me $90 to tell me that he thoroughly checked and cleaned it and could not duplicate the problem. So I paid the man and took my machine home. It worked fine for about a week until again I went to make coffee in the morning and the screen was blank. (Normally the screen will say STANDBY). Same darn thing! I have unplugged and let it sit and replugged it in and only get a blank screen! I know it is getting power because the mi.k island light is on. What in the world is going on? If I got an error message I could deal with it, but the screen is just black and won't even light up! I won't take it back to the repair place because he was the meanest, nastiest man I've ever met in my life! Please help because I am stumped!
