They are attractive enough machines. From a price and feature standpoint I guess they are competing with Rocket. 1st line gives an interesting statement as to why they are no longer carrying the rocket line. It says these new machines are designed in Germany and made in Italy.

Stainless boiler and rotary pump at the intro price looks pretty sweet! He needs to post more photos of the internals, the bid of welding I saw looked well done.

In fact stainless steel is cheaper than brass, or copper for the matter, and there is today Ruveco process to positively remove surface lead from brass components.... Different class but not necessarily above, actually cheaper approach with pros and cons, while in pump example the fact remains that product in the cup does not change.. Ciao, Pietro

I work in a food factory with guys who do sanitary welding. There is a big difference between brazing copper and welding stainless neatly. The attention to detail in a machine is worth noting.

While somewhat familiar with the Ruveco process, It seems not too many major espresso machine manufacturers list this in their features or specifications. Would you care to elaborate?

If you go to 1st-Line's site for these, click on the machine you're interested in and there's a few interior shots at bottom of page, appears to be very tidy and well done.
I'm thinking very seriously about one, would like to see a review.
