Hello all, I'm new to the world of espresso machines so I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I got my hands on a Nuova Simonelli and need some help figuring out how to hook it up. See pics below. I'm wondering what I need to do to get this up and running. I see two brass inlets/outlets, I am assuming one is for the water in and one is for the drain? Any ideas on what I might need to plumb this thing? Thanks! http://imageshack.us/a/img812/8889/espressolabel01.jpg

Well I can't find a definitive answer to this in my searches but i'm going to guess it might be a braided stainless steel 3/8 compression hose I need from the espresso machine to my water line under the sink. If anybody knows and i'm off the mark please let me know. For the drain, i'm going to give some silicone hosing a whirl.

Thank you! That is kinda what I did before seeing this pic but without the additional adapter on the water hose. Just put it directly one. Everything seemed like it was working but was making a louder noise that seemed normal. I determined some of the fittings are leaking and there is a crack in one of the copper pipes. I've provided a pic that shows leaks and cracks. I plan to solder repair the crack and loosen then tighten all the compression fittings, will see how that helps things.
Another issue I'm having is the drainage seems to drain constantly, that doesn't seem right.

Crack and leak on compression fittings fixed and working well. Only issue now is the drainage continually drips, must be something wrong with a sensor? Also looks Ike tube coming from the group to the drainage bowl is not original so could be part of the issue maybe. It's a silicon hose and that prior link has a copper one.

I wish I knew more, can you find someone that works on commercial machines near you? Someone in the biz a while should know the answer and have the parts. I think you will have a great machine when you finish. I could not find much about it either. Check the restore threads here and H-b. That is a better place for this type of thread. This is more about buying and minor problems. Yours is more like a full over haul.

Thanks man, I think you may be right. I'm struggling now, thing is dripping like mad and taking forever to pour a shot, i think i've gone backwards at this stage. I know it has something to do with that makeshift drain tube that someone installed. I'll check out local shops here that could help. Cheers! Thanks for all your help. I'll post updates as I continue.
