Hi everyone, well i just got my 3rd acquisition (2nd one in a week! hahah). I got this from my cousin who was gonna toss it out. Turns out it's a LA Pavoni (with manual piston handle), don't know which model as there is no numbers anywhere, all i know is it has 2 switches on the side (power and low/hi power). I want to descale it, so all i've done so far was boil a LT of water, poured powder cleaning solution with it, and filled up the tank of the machine. The power is off and it's been sitting close to 30 minutes so far.....is this right? and what do i do from here? turn it on and pump it out through the grouphead??? thanks fabs

I don't know what you mixed up but yes, that is pretty much it. The normal thing used around here to descale, is citric acid. You can find it online and at shops that deal with wine making equipment, among other places.
