Wondering if it maybe was the two way autofill solenoid valve. So frustrating.

Hello. Well, I thought it was fixed. I'm fairly certain that problem is fixed (All I did was drain the boiler...it was filled to the top) Now, the heat light won't come on at all and nothing seems to be heating. I wish that we had a local service tech as I would have brought it in from the start, but it's nice to get to know how the machine works. Hopefully I can figure it out before too long.

Is there a reset button on your boiler? It is possible that the HX has a leak that is filling the boiler and the heating element is out but that is worse case.

It does have the red reset button, but it's pushed all the way in. I'm concerned that I may have burned the element. Would that cause the light to just stay off? I've read through pretty much every thread on the web about the issue. It's just discouraging at the moment and I'm starting to think I may have made a mistake buying used. Thank you Helen for the replies and your generous help to everyone on here. I've read most of your posts as many relate to the oscar.

Mine doesn't have that button so I can't tell you, does pushing it do anything? You are having some issues but if you work through them you will have nice machine when you are done and know that you can fix it no matter what.

From what I have read, if it doesn't push in then it hasn't tripped it. I may be completely wrong about that!

Well, if it is not tripped and not heating check all the wires and make sure everything is tight. Maybe just some loose connection.... and test the water to make sure it is not getting hot and the LED light is just not coming on...
