as my coffee bar is literally right off the formal dining room and visible from just about any seat at the table, my wife would freakin' kill me if I had a 5 gallon bottle sitting there with a tube coming out of it...even though I make her lattes every freakin' day. so my options are either wait for a reliable plumber (need to get on the horn again) to run a line under my house over to the bar or move the entire setup (to where I have no idea).

25 years married and the wife will get over a lot but I to would be dead man walking for a stunt like that.
You know those people that want to tell you how to raise your kids but have none of their own? That is how i feel when someone with a kitchen appliance tells me how the merits or dis-merits of my machine or how to use it.

I am not sure how much you should sell it for. Its leak is troubling and you did not find out for sure what part is leaking. Shipping will add to the cost. I wish you were local. I don't believe you can get over 200 for it, maybe less.

Kinda like R/C race trucks, I can buy a complete unit to break down and sell the parts seperate on eBay and make double the original cost while still keeping prices half of what you would for the parts from the store. Oscar probably has about $400 of useful parts that would all be easy and inexpensive to ship or I can always do the repairs when I have the time this late winter and list it working. Then again it will probably sit there in the basement on the shelves with all the other projects until it hits five years and I put it in the trash can.

My 2.0 was packaged very well with that expanding foam stuff in an oversized box so i it would take a great deal to damage it. There is a water line you have to hook up inside the machine though. Be sure you read that bit and do it before you get started.

yeah, I think someone actually posted an oops thread because they tried to use it without reading they had to hook up that line. Though, it's pretty hard to miss that warning sheet when you open the box.
