Hi Guys - received this machine from someone who said they descaled and now it won't brew a shot. I took the entire machine apart cleaned all the tubes, the heat exchanger , the brew group, etc. Then I descaled again. Still won't brew a shot of espresso or preground coffee. It starts the cycle but never completes as the coffee never dispenses. If I open the steam wand, water will come out and then coffee will get pulled back through to the wand. This is the only way the machine will complete the cycle. The coffee in the brew group gets some amount of water as it expels a well formed puck - not too dry or too wet.
This is the first automatic I've tried to fix, but am no novice working on older Gaggia and Rancilio machines. What could I be missing here?
