Hi there - I'm a coffee geek forum virgin so please be gentle...
I just got a handpresso for Christmas. It's one which you can use pods or ground. I will be taking it to work to add some variety to my staple daily fix from my faithful (and tasty) aeropress.
I have, however, hit a bit of a roadblock. Having unlocked the cap that holds the water and puck in place, I cannot screw the dxmn thing back on to lock it into position. I believe I have placed the o ring in the correct place, and have even resorted to lightly oiling the inside of the cap, but nothing (including all the strength in my hand and wrist) will shift it back into position. The knockon effect is that I can't push the button to force the pressurised air into the water and on through the grinds.
When I actually put the portafilter in, I end up even further away from the cap lock position.
I have contacted handpresso to ask if i am doing something stupid, but heard nothing back.
If anyone can point out something obvious I am doing wrong, or confirm if they have had a similar problem, it would be much appreciated.
