Well id never turn it on side while running! Thatbwould move your boiler steam into where its not to be! Anyway you should not be sitting idle at 15 bar on left gauge side! Keep turning down pump just put it on a table you can access under like half off the table stabilized... When idle it generally sits at waterline pressure... 4 bar or so... Then when you pull shot it should spike to around 9ish... Then when 3 way kicks in at end of shot you could see some residual spike in pressure but the OPV no return valve should compensate andbring it back down to general water line pressure... Check house line pressure... For $50 over at chriscoffee he has a nice setup with quick connect that gauge usually should sit at around 30psi and at gauge should sit idle around 4-5bar... On the coffee side , yes I have been roasting specialty grade coffee for about 13 years and like I stated earlier... Coffee is paramount! Lol PM me if you are interested so im not illegally advertising here lol. I do small batch specialty grade coffee... Mostly single origin verietals, thats the best way to know what your cupping and what to taste for... For instance the sweet kenyas to candied ethiopians to the chocolate bittersweet colombians! Mmmmm
Anyway, back to machine... Its possible you still have way too much pressure and if you are using that gauge as a calibration then your way off even on the OPV that should open generally around 12bar but if your gauge is sitting at 15 and it doesnt just flow out during shot then it too is too high... You really need test group pressure and line pressure to start with... Also one of the worst things that could happen is shipping the machine freight on airplane and or winter with any water in boiler or brew path as it can freeze and expand and crack the HX tube inside which can ruin boiler... Not saying this is it but you need know this info when trying to locate issues...

Um ok, the next morning the shot pressure had dropped to 6bar... I am going to strip down the machine and descale the lot... there was definitely scale on the pressure adjuster on the pump... check back here in a month...
