Bought the machine new in 2010, never taken it apart or anything...just making good coffee. When I power it up the lights come on but nobody is home. Figure there is some electrical component common to all these functions that needs replaced. Also figure y'all know good and well what it is and where to get it. I'm inclined enough to replace a part. Appreciate any help.
You can check for for continuity across the thermal fuse. Obviously break the circuit to do that. I am not sure how the board figures in, specifically whether a thermal fuse break will allow for lights to go on. They may be able to help you by phone at PartsGuru. Perhaps another user with a similar machine will know.
