I have recently purchased a Rancilio Silvia V2 with a Lelit PL53 grinder.
I cannot pull a proper shot to save my life. The shot comes out very slow, after 25 seconds maybe 10-15 drips come out. What comes out tastes great, theres just not much coming out.
I am using single origin beans from Madcap Coffee in Grad Rapids, Michigan, the beans are fresh.
Not sure what im doing wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like you're grinding too fine. back off slightly, see how it goes, keep going in gradual increments until you get about 1.5 oz in 25-30 seconds, then micro adjust based on flavor.
once you get it dialed in you won't have to waste nearly as much coffee from batch to batch.
read article 12 (Easy Guide to Better Espresso at home) under "how to" on www.espressomyespresso.com. It's about midway down the right hand column.
Sounds like you're on the right track. It'll take some practice you get the hang of it and get it dialed in just right. Really fresh coffee will seem somewhat globby and airy normally. as the extraction goes on, carbon dioxide is released from the grounds. This is how the crema comes about.
Many of us use a naked (or bottomless) portafilter. It allows us to watch the extraction as it comes from the bottom of the basket, rather than just watch the drips from the spouts.
Also, consider installing a PID on your machine. It's not necessary, but it'll help maintain temp stability and make your life easier.
See if you can find some videos of what an extraction is supposed to look like, then if you can't get it all dialed in the way you'd like, try to post a video.
Remember that the only place it all really matters is in your mouth.
