ive come across a machne i am quite unfamiliar with and uses a concept i am also unfamiliar with to regulate the machines boiler pressure.
all the machines i have ever come across have had a pressure stat, with adjustable screw to adjust the boiler pressure.
this machine however does not. it is a Visacrem V6 machine. I have located a cable/tube which goes from the boiler into the machines PCB, im am fairly sure this is what is regulating the machines pressure. what i am wanting to know is how do i adjust the pressure??
the machine is showing a fault on the digital display 'machine overheating'. the display also shows the boiler temperature as being 144'C.
the fault message appears as soon as the machine reaches this temperature and then disappears once pressure drops and the heating element kicks in to regain pressure, and then appears once pressure is achieved.
the gauge on the machine shows the pressure sitting nicely in the green zone, i am just wanting to lower the boiler temperature slightly so see if it clears the fault showing up on the display.

If the cable goes to a pcb and it has a digital readout, I highly suspect that it is PID controlled. Other than this real big guess I'm sorry to say I can't help much. If all that it needs is temp regulation' you could add an aftermarket PID but you would need to design it yourself. I would guess all you would need to do is to find a place for the thhermocouple and wire the heater to a SsR and the PID unit. You might get lucky and all the rest of it might work OK. Have you played with it much in this respect?

hi guys, thanks for the quick replies.
i have also sourced out this online manual but there doesnt seem to be anywhere on it telling me how to alter the boilers pressure/temperature?
is it possible this is a predetermined setting that is consistent with the machines perticular thermocouple??
if it starts to fail then the pressure/temperature changes and then must be changed??
this seems abit odd as surely boiler pressure should be something that the end user should be able to change as part of there set up along with brew pressure
