tempted to throw in the towel and buy myself a new machine...... however you could be correct on blockage. It was pretty scaled up. Maybe I did not descale it enough. Need to wait till payday to purchase some descaler.

I've never used or even read anything about DEZCAL, so I can't offer an informed opinion Bryan. DEZCAL is basically just citric acid, "Dezcal™ is a citric acid based, non-toxic, biodegradable and safe descaler that breaks down lime scale and calcium deposits." from the URNEX website. It is designed for this purpose, though it's expensive at $6 - $8 for 4 1oz packages! Do you have any citric acid?
That can be had cheaplyfrom wine making & home brewing shops, or in the grocery store, Indian grocery stores as "sour salt".
When I bought my citric acid, I pretty much have a lifetime supply of 10 lbs for $10 years ago. {;-)

as far as citric acid locally, I found this at ACE hardware.. Click Here (www.acehardware.com) Good enough? What ratio do I add this to water? My reservoir holds about 6 cups of water.
Another brand I found is by BALL, the canning company. I would imagine that they are all the same.... right?

Yes, good enough. A good starting ratio is 1 - 1˝ Tablespoons to 1 quart/liter. See Jim Schulman's Insanely Long Water FAQ, (Look down ľ's of the page to: 4.Water Treatment and Preventive Descaling for Espresso Machines) everything you wanted to know about water but were afraid to ask is all here LOL!
