it is the latest model new added overflow drain inside, new case outside, that is all. I'm waiting on the Duetto 6.0 before I buy again... then I'll get a used Slayer :)

It was either this or buying a Rocket R58. The upside to getting the Izzo is that two local vendors here sell Izzo machines. Unfortunately, nobody local sells Rocket. I've got one on order, it's on the boat coming over from Italy. Should be here sometime early December.
I bought a used Alex Duetto 1 locally, but the PID burnt out after about 3 days of light use, so I took it back and got a refund. I can't blame the old owner though. They probably left the machine on all the time and my placing the machine on a timer probably hastened the failure of the already failing PID.
From those short three days, I loved using the Duetto 1 so much that I decided to buy the 3.0 for a variety of reasons. I could still buy a version 2, but I like the cabinet of the 3 much better.
It's going to cost me a kidney, but I think it'll be worth it.
For me, the big features which are selling me on the upgrade are the cabinet, the revised drip tray and more open cup warmer.
