I LOVE LOVE Americano's and drink one every day from Starbucks. I'm wanting to start making them at home. I don't have an espresso machine but want to purchase one.
I'm looking for advice and money saving tips from all you coffee geeks who have been through the "coffee presses" of life.

Life is a grind they say. A small Saeco or Gaggia single group espresso machine can make decent coffee. These units are at thrift stores, auctions, Wal Mart..... A separate hot water unit costs $75 or so. Keep in mind the espresso grinder may cost $300 because life is a grind.
