Just going on espresso basics here as I don't own a superauto but- do you have a way of knowing how much coffee is being ground in a given time? If your burrs are getting dull or need cleaned that would reduce the coffee ground in a given time, so the "standard" grind time would not be enough. If you know you're getting enough grounds then it would be a matter of grinding finer till you hit the sweet spot. You may need to just experiment a bit to see what works best. If you get the pull time right and the espresso seems weak you would want to grind a bit coarser and add more time. I guess even superautos have a learning curve involved :)
