Hoping someone can help solve this one, as it's left me scratching my head, and it's been years since I've had to prime a machine, so I've probably cocked something up completely.
I have an Isomac Zaffiro which I hadn't used for two years until today. I rinsed and filled the water reservoir, switched the power on, tried pumping water through it, first by opening the coffee lever in the hope that water would start to run (it didn't, even after 20 or so seconds), then by turning on the hot water switch, which did let water flow through the steam wand.
I let the machine heat up, and both the steam and hot water functions work, but when I opened the coffee lever, no water came through. The pressure gauge went from about 2 bar to 12 bar while I had the coffee lever open. When I closed the coffee lever, nothing came out of the dump valve, and I remember the last time it worked that a high pressure hiss and steam used to come out after pulling each shot.
