Finally got this rancilio s20 running with a water line and everything after I've had it for 2mos without using it.
The problem I'm having is I'm pulling 8 second shots I've had an expobar, la pavoni etc and know how to pull shots latte art etc I'm getting water out the side of the portafilter but the brew gasket looks fine Anyone have difficulty getting a longer shot on these large rancilios?

if water is coming out of the side of a portafilter I would replace the gasket no matter what it looked like unless it was unclean. You can try cleaning it but if this continues I would replace it..

I figured I should replace them anyway. I am now getting a good 25ish second shot I tried different beans and kept adjusting the grind But I'm not sure what the exact variable was that got it there.
The problem I'm now having is when the shots are this long the machine makes a loud Noise kind of screeching noise and ive noticed there is a lot of back flush water coming out the drain.
