I have a friend who has decreasing mobility, feeling in her fingertips, and eyesight. She can get her silvia group head apart, but she can't put it back together any more. Needless to say, this makes cleaning rather a less-common event than she'd like, especially since she's a crackerjack roaster.
The basic problem is the dinky little screw. She can get it out just fine, but she can't get it in.
I think that any of the systems that rely on the gasket will be bad for the opposite reason: she won't be able to get the screen out.
Does anyone know of a decent machine in the market that has a different way of attaching the stuff in the grouphead that isn't a dinky little screw? If so, it'll result in the purchase of a new machine :) Is a full-auto the only answer for all this?
I would probably look into making a jig of some sort that hold everything in place for her and had a hole for the screw driver to fit to turn the screw. I would think it could be made out of turned wood. Then she holds the block with one hand and turns the screw with the other.

In a group head such as the E61 where everything is held in place by the gasket assembly and disassembly is very easy and I think it would be much easier as the pieces are bigger and they are easier to handle. I made a tool to disassemble my screen but a well placed handle of a spoon or fork would work well also. The difuser screw inside the shower screen is much larger too and thus easier to handle. I think you really should check out in person a machine of this sort.
