Hello,
I just purchased an Ascaso Duo on ebay. It was made in 2009 and from the poster's photos it looks great. Price paid was £140 including postage and seeing as this machine retails between £700-800 I couldn't say no really... Part of the reason for the low price is because the item was not properly listed -> the listing title has Ascaso misspelt as Ascasco and espresso misspelt as expresso so I don't think many people could find it.
Anyway - the real question I have for you... It has not arrived yet, but when it does, what should I look for in order to tell that I've not bought a ringer? Gasket seal, pf basket, open up the boiler to check for scale, check everything works, anything else?
The seller says that if it isn't as described then he will accept a return... (it was described as being in "excellent used condition") Anyway - your thoughts on the what the worst case scenario might be would be appreciated...
