Bought a grinder today, I was going to get a new Baratza Vario; but ended buying a used super jolly on eBay for 275. Should arrive in about a week. Now just waiting to make a decision on the machine...

Well, pulled the trigger, ended up buying an Expobar Brewtus, to go with a Super Jolly. Cannot wait for it to arrive to start experimenting. Thanks for all the help, this site has been an enormous help. cheers

Great picks, Jowler. Great choice on the SJ. While it may be a bit bulky on the counter, it will give you a superior grind and is built to withstand more abuse than you can conceivably throw at it. Since you got it from ebay, make sure you check the burrs when you get it and consider putting on a fresh set if they seem pretty worn. Any idea how old it is?
