Subject: right PF for old gaggia "espresso" got the right one?

hi guys, after i bought my gaggia espresso, i noticed that i had the wrong handle. I want to buy (used) hand that i think is the right one. The PF fits well into the group head. But i wanted to know, i have the screen, or basket, that the coffee sits in. Underneath where the coffee comes out is just one tiny hole in the middle, and at the bottom of the handle, there are two (flush) holes that the coffee comes out. Is this the right PF for this machine? i've seen some pics with PF's that look like the rear resto ones, with the one or two spouts and under the basket it has a plastic rubber piece..
anyhelp or pics would be great. The one that i have...will it work okay?
I was making coffee's tonight and the coffee wasn't coming out well and was lots of pressure in the handle.
thanks
fabs

The older Gaggia's came with a PF that had the two molded spouts - sounds like what you are describing. I'm thinking it was about 2002-2003 that they switched to the threaded spout so you can screw on a double or single spout.   The older one with the molded in double spout gives you more room underneath for a taller cup.

The other thing you describe with one tiny hole - that sounds like a pressurized basket.  You can buy whatever sort of filter basket you want to go in your current PF ... or you can buy a newer style PF but it sounds like the one you have is the right one that came with the machine.
