I keep hearing rumors about a new line of prosumer espresso machines from Rocket Espresso, Milano. It's reported to be called Rivoluzione, and it's supposed to be a dual boiler machine with E61 brew head, rotary pump, PID, and convertible water source functionality (i.e. tank or plumbing). They're allegedly coming in April 2012.
Does anyone have solid information? Has anyone seen it yet?

It makes sense that Rocket would add a DB to their line. It's a natural progression from their Evo HX models. Rocket could easily use the technology from their current Evo and Linea machines to build a DB. I suspect a Rocket DB would use the electronic boiler control and volumetric settings available in their Linea Professional line.
I also noticed that Rocket is showing a new style of gauges on their Facebook page. The new style gauges are really sharp looking. These new gauges will probably appear in a new DB.
I'm sure the styling of a Rocket DB would blow the doors off other products. Looking forward to hearing more about this!

The Version 2 of the Premium Plus and Evoluzione line has been announced. They feature insulated boilers, an improved tamper is included and the Premium Plus line has received a second manometer to measure extraction pressure. They have also changed the manometer shield colour to black on the premium plus.
With regards to a double boiler machine; more information should be available soon.

Thanks for the info, Slawek. Rocket did post the announcement of the 2012 machines on their Facebook page. I hadn't seen the posting, so I'm glad you mentioned it. I'm looking forward to a possible DB announcement.
Do you know if Rocket will have an insulation kit for existing owners?
Here's some new data I found on a German website (click here):
The new DB machine has the model number RE 58. The brew boiler has a capacity of 0.58 liter, the steam boiler 1.7 liter, both with a 1,400 W heating element and both insulated. It's still adversised for April 2012.
Or has this just been a joke on April Fool's day? After all the RE series is Rocket Espresso's commercial line, that looks different from their prosumer machines, and there's absolutely no information neither on their website nor Facebook page.

According to that website, their price is €2150, which brings it to $2866.617 at todays rate of 1.3333. Will be interesting to see what they price it for the U.S. market.
