Subject: Looking for parts for a Breville 800 esxl

I have a Breville 800 esxl and contrary to some of the discussions on this list, I like it.  Up until a few months ago I was able to get parts and the unit is designed well enough for me to be able to open it up and make repairs.

The part I am looking for is the  Water Valve assembly (Part 800ESXL/242),  The part is no longer made so it is not something I will be able to get directly from Breville or their distributors...Any ideas?  I am enclosing a picture of the part.  I have tried several places including ereplacement parts but they can not get the part for me.

Does anyone here have a working on non working unit I could buy for parts?

David

Buy one on eBay and get a whole set of spare parts.
There were so many of these which sold, it is sad that Breville does not support it with spare parts, but that has been their pattern, and the price paid for owning a machine with so many proprietary components.
You might contact the Breville distributors in Australia or log onto the CoffeeSnobs site (Aussie chat) and ask in the forums there.
