My Vibiemme Domobar Super worked flawlessly untill yesterday. I was following the instructions on how to descale it, and when I was at the point of running clean water through it, it went pop. Sprayed water across the kitchen and is now leaking from the brass fitting on top of the boiler. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks, DTS

Without a picture even those of use that may know the internals of the VBM DS would be guessing at what might be leaking. I for one do not have a VBM. I would call someone who repairs the machines such as Stefano's or 1st-Line .
I did do a touch of searching and found something that may be of use. Check step #15 figure 1 and 2 on this PDF. DESCALING a Vibiemme Domobar Super It mentions the Anti-Vacuum valve leaking during descaling.

I know exactly what you did: When the boiler's water-level wire has been disconnected the boiler will fill completely so there is now no air in the boiler. If the pump runs in that condition the steam valve or hot water valve MUST BE OPEN! You pressurized the boiler and the safety valve opened up allowing the excess pressure out. The problem is that if there was descaling solution in the boiler at the time, this acidic solution was sprayed all over inside the machine. Be sure to unplug the machine and rise off everything inside you can with distilled water. Be sure to check all electrical connections as the acid can corrode those. If you have a black machine (not all stainless) it is CRITICAL to pour the water into the base under the drip tray to rise out the area under the drip tray supports or that are will rust quickly and badly.
After blowing the inside dry and allowing to air dry, open the hot water valve, open the steam valve, and if necessary, apply compressed air at low pressure to the steam wand to evacuate some of the water in the boiler and create air space. Then close the valves, connect the water level wire and power the machine up. As soon as pressure builds, open the hot water valve and allow some fluid out, then stop. this verifies that the autofill is working. Then, when it reaches full pressure, open the hot water valve and dispense about 8 ounces of water. Repeat 4 times, and taste the water for traces of acid.
