Espresso: Saeco Odea Go II
Posted Wed Nov 2, 2011, 6:02pm
Subject: Saeco Odea Go spits air/water when brewing coffee

Hi guys,

I bought my 1st espresso machine a few months ago.

It is a Saeco Odea Go II.
It works wonderfully and tried lots of different beans.
Sometimes I also use the steamer to froth and heat milk.

The only problem I have for now is that often (not always) when I brew coffee, it spits water and/or air mixed with coffee.
I hope I explained it correctly.

- I already descaled the machine once.
- I usually reprime the pump by dispensing some water after using the steamer.

Do you have an idea where it come from ?

Maybe I misused the product ?

Thanks,
Maxime

Sorry about the lack of response.

One thing that is definitely lacking on this board is experience with super autos. None of us use them.

The best thing I can recommend is to give the folks at Seattle Coffee Gear a shout, as they are the authorized repair and refurb center for Saeco.

Hi James,

I really want to thank you for taking the time to reply me.

I live near Montreal, Canada. So maybe I might try to contact Saeco Canada Customer Support...

I think I will try to shoot a little footage of the machine in action.
(If I post it to youtube maybe someone will see the problem and be able to help me.)

Thanks again,
Maxime

It sounds like the pre-brew feature.

or it sends the cleaning flush through the sprout instead to the tray after making a coffee?
