Subject: Fixing Silvia's portafilter
 

It took me a while to figure out that neither my tamping was crooked, nor my kitchen cart was uneven.
A little bit of reading of CG and a closer look at my Silvia (v2) portafilter revealed that the spout holes had not been evenly drilled.

So does your machine have this problem too?

It took me about 5 minutes and a Dremel w/ a carbide bit to fix the problem. All I had to do is to widen one of the holes a tiny bit.

We have another fan of bottomless in the making.... =D

You'll just need a 60mm Hole saw now.

All the bottomless photos look so gorgeous, so I am indeed tempted to get myself a bottomless portafilter.
'Not sure If I want to sacrifice my current one though.
