At one point, the CC1 was very interesting to me. I eventually bought a different machine but keep checking this thread out of some kind of morbid curiosity.
One explanation for the missing reviews was that the website was being re-coded to accommodate road trip multi-person reviews, but frankly that doesn't really make much sense any more. It's been almost ten months since the road trip was announced and I just can't imagine how a new review section would need that much time to get ready.
It seems disrespectful to whomever provided the machine and to all the people who took the time to thoughtfully review the machine to put the publication of the reviews on an eternal back-burner. I'm starting to suspect that a flaw was uncovered in the machine and coffeegeek has been asked to not publish the information.

There was suppose to be a road review for the Breville Dual Boiler too and that never materialized although Phil McKnight stated in the BDB thread that the machine was shipped out for the review...interesting.

Yesterday I stopped at Seattle Coffee Gear to check things out. There is a lot of shiny chrome in that shop, almost reminding me of a Harley-Davidson showroom! :)
Anyway, the gal said that the CC1 is a fine machine that had some early bugs that have gotten fixed. She also said that Bill C comes in a couple of times per month.
Coffeegeek has been working on a new site build for (2, or 3?) years, so this is a short delay in comparison. My (very positive) review for the Ceado E7 grinder was submitted a year ago this month and has not been published yet either.
This seems to be how these things sometimes work at coffeegeek, so there is no conspiracy here. In fact, Bill Crossland expressed to me that he hopes the CC1 reviews will (eventually) be posted.

2-3 years lol? Takes days at the most, switch to a different BB (tons out there like vbulletin) format easily with better layouts and use and no weird glitches like the double log in issue that still isn't fixed. For example I race and one of our forums is way way way larger than this site and pry the other coffee sites combined, changed to a new vb forum format in less than a day inc transferring years and years of threads and post.
Yeh I don't know whats up with the reviews for not just the CC1 but other products as well, you get it, you use it, post a review... how hard can that be?? If a car mag is going to test a car their not going to wait a year to publish results lol.
It is my understanding that the CG website is a very customized build, but I'm no expert on that stuff. The site owner would be a better source of information for questions like tyhis.
