Is the Crossland CC1 affecting pricing of this unit? I understand the business is moving to a new location and is offering "moving sales". It will be interesting to see if the price goes back up after they are settled in at their new location.
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
I also noticed their Acasco price is a tad lower than other retailers, as are their lelit prices (hard to compare though, since I think they're the only source, at least for US sales, for the pid model). For the Acasco price, it says summer sale, while other specials like their silvia+grinder sale specifically says moving sale deal.
I haven't used the Acasco or lelit, but am anxious to try them all out!
The CC1 has pre-infusion, and volumetric settings, addl. modes, so for the ultimate tweaker, it might be a notch ahead!

what would be the next step up from this machine if I were looking at a lower cost espresso machine with PID temp control, pre-infusion control, etc etc... (a pressure gauge would have been nice as well)
The beep and temp come up in about 10 minutes, but I flush a couple of times and try to wait a bit longer before 1st shot.
shot to steam is immediate, or 10-15 seconds max for me. I am starting from a pretty high brew temp though.
I have never measured CC1 on to steam, I always brew first.
From steam back to shot mode, if you wait for the beep, and temp to show target, it's about a minute. This can be reduced by adjusting one of the parameters for quicker recovery at the expense of overshoot. However, since you can watch the temp come up in real-time, you can pull the shot after a 15 to 30 second wait, and it's not going to be noticeably cooler than if you wait the full minute for the beep.

hi all,
I'm new to this coffee world and looking for roaster and machine. And looks like CC1 is value machine, isn't it? Would you email me (private) about from where I can CC1 for home use? Anything else are recommended to get with this machine to have as single S/H if possible?

No need for a PM - Seattle Coffee Gear and Chris Coffee Service both are offering this machine and are only a Google search away. Both are reputable so for this value machine you have some choices but neither will be wrong.
