Hi Brian, Awesome pics, I ordered a PL 041QE lelit paired with a vario grinder today, it wont arrive until august because its back ordered. How do you like the machine so far? If it is not too much trouble can you post a few pics of the top and the water reservoir is removed. Thanks -Greg
As awould be customer you wouldn't think that it has derailed.... Enjoy your machine and pls accept that my posts are just in the interest of the customers... Ciao, Pietro
Then please stop attempting to do just that, Pietro.

Hi guys. Sorry for the delay - I haven't been able to log in in the last few days. To answer your questions, yes, I'm loving the machine so far! The shot quality is far beyond the quality of the shots I could ever pull on my Sirena (which isn't surprising). It pulls a much hotter shot with loads of persistent crema with a dark brown color rather than the light-colored, quickly fading crema I always got from the Sirena (with non-pressurized portafilter). More importantly, the taste is much closer to what I've imagined a shot should taste like. Though I know there's still room for me to improve. The steam power is also much greater than the Sirena in my opinion. I'm still working on my steaming technique/results of course, but I knew that would take some getting used to.
Atomichumbucker, I don't know about the interchangeability of the dispersion screen, sorry about that. Maybe 1st-line (or Clive Coffee) would be able to help answer that?

And here's a picture of one of my first shots from the machine last week (I think this may have been the 2nd or 3rd shot I pulled). This was pulled with CCC's Espresso Rustico and I think I even waited a little while before taking the picture.
For some reason, I have been taking the reservoir out and refilling it using a small funnel until now. But yes, the cover lifts up and you can just remove the hoses and fill it while leaving the container in place in the machine (I will probably do this from now on). You would still have to use a funnel most likely to avoid spillage since the opening is pretty small and also pull the machine out a bit if you have cabinets above it like I do. So overall, it's a little bit of work, but not too difficult.

Our guess is that they are interchangeable. However, we can not 100% confirm yet as we need an older machine to check on. We really hate to go off of diagrams.
edited with an added note on 05/12/2010: We physically confirmed a short while ago that the parts are not interchangeable. We have an inquiry to Lelit about a conversion kit. When we get an update. We will post their feedback here.
