I was actually just about to drill the hole in my new countertop when I decided to drill the hole in the wall instead. On the other side of the wall I have the pump and filter mounted. Phew.

Another thing is that no matter what I do, my Linea will always drip a little. From the drip tray or from the small splashes of water from the top of the steam boiler when it is warming up. So I made a small elevated, transparent tray to fit underneath my 1-group to catch the drips. The tray is just a piece of plexiglass on two pieces of wood. It is sloping towards left so I can easily see if more water than just a few drops (which will quickly dry out on the tray) is coming out.

Sorry about the blurry picture.As you can see, there are stains from the drip tray on the transparent tray which would otherwise have ruined my wooden countertop. You might notice that I took the power button off. I have the machine connected to a WeMo, so the power button is always on.
