Hi,
Just got my Silvia today! I have desperately been trying to find the Xpressivo Presso Barista tamper to go with it, but its out of stock everywhere!
I had ordered one with a Gaggia logo on it from Aabree because it showed as being the only one in stock. I even called in the order to be sure, then next day got an out of stock notification! Grrr.
WLL and Aabree say out of stock until July! I can't wait that long for a "real" tamper.
Can anyone recommend where else I can find one (or have one for sale). Or can you suggest an equivalently priced alternative to the Presso? I don;t want to spend over $40.
BTW, I measured the double basket with digital vernier calipers and it was 58.6mm above the ridge.
I haven't heard anything negative about them and they appear to be both very well made and priced right. Hopefully some coffegeek members who own them may be able to provide some more feedback.
Although I already own a reg barber tamper, I just ordered one myself along with the tamper stand and expect to receive it next week.

I am trying to find a single online store with the following in stock:
Pallo Coffeetool Group Brush - is this the best choice?
Suitable tamper - prolly the bumper or the Rosewood Tamper although I really want the Xpressivo Presso but its out of stock everywhere
And a double basket bigger than the stock Silvia basket. I found the LM-style ridgeless in a couple of places, but am afraid it will keep falling out of the PF. Plus I want a good tamper/basket match
Too many questions in one post? I'd appreciate some help, there's almost too many posts on these subjects now, many of which are quite old...

I just ordered the pallo coffeetool brush, bumper tamper and ridgeless la marzocco style basket as well as many other items all from espressoparts.com this past week. I know that chriscoffee.com also has the pallo coffeetool brush, bumper tamper (rubber handle version) and many other baskets, although they don't list the ridgeless on their site.
I am not sure if the ridgeless basket will fall out, but you can give either or both of these vendors a call, and I am sure they will be able to provide you what your looking for.
You can get all kinds of stuff there as well as roasted and unroasted coffee. Just another option for you. The Bumper products look great although I've never used them - I'd trust the quality coming from Paul Pratt as just taking a look at his site with machine restorations you could see he doesn't skimp on the details. Whole Latte Love and a few other vendors sell Xpressivo tampers if you're set on them.

I have checked Sweet Maria's but could only see a triple basket which would require me to have a bottomless PF and I'd prefer to stick with the stock Silvia PF right now.
So, who has opinions on Bumper tamp vs Rosewood tamper?
Also, are both tampers a good match (fit-wise) for the ridgeless LM-style double basket and the "regular" La Marzocchi double basket.
