Subject: Quick Mill 3000 please help

Hi!
I'm new here, just received Quick Mill 3000 expresso machine from creativecookware.com
I have a lot of problems, machine is making crazy noise when the steam button is on...
like chocking pump noise, meter shows only 2 Bar of pressure. Coffee is weak, doesn't distribute evenly from 2 nozzles.
This is new machine, I feel like I wasted 800.00

Owner of creativecookware - Joe is refusing my request for  RMA# to return or exchange this machine.
Anybody else had a problem with returning product to creativecookware.com?
Website promises 60 days satisfaction, I just opened the box and next day I'm refused return/exchange request.
Any advice?
Much appreciate!
Vincent

I checked their site and your machine has a thermo-block (not a boiler).  A couple of years ago, I had another type of thermo-block machine, and when steaming, the machine sounded like it was puttering.  This is normal.  What's happening is the machine is running the pump (pulsing it) to inject water into the over-heated thermo-block.  This creates the steam with this kind of machine.

I hope the salesperson explained this.

Regarding the coffee being weak and not evenly flowing from both spouts... well, that's all part of the technique (age of beans, grinder quality - if you don't have one, it's a must, etc.).  This forum can definitely help with this part.

Maybe someone else could comment on this specific machine, but it's interesting to point out that the Rancilio Silvia is a good quality machine and slightly cheaper on their site.  The Silvia will have a nice brass boiler and won't "putter" like the thermo-block machines.  I'd stick it to him if he's not honoring their return policy.

"Returns must still be in brand new condition ( not used ) and have all the packaging and original contents included"  I hope he isn't considering it used if you used it a couple of time to try out the machine.  Because then it conflicts with their statement "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back."
