Hi - Having the Gaggia Tebe for 2 years - never backflushed but behind the showe head all holes are blocked accept for one. I read about backflusing - and it seams to have this ability - but I don't know:
How to backflush.
if this machine trully have this ability.
should I use any descaler on the blind filter (didn't purchase the blind filter yet) Thanks,

OK - so I understand that GAGGIA (TEBE or CLASSIC) - have the ability to backflush... I will try your suggestion. do you, by any chance, have any idea why only single hole in the part above the shower head is working? is there a walkthrough to resolve this blocking? (with or without backflashing)...Thanks

2 years....... Must have some nasty tasting shots. LOL.....
Seriously, you can remove the dispersion disc by removing the two 5mm Allen bolts and the disc should pop out. Backflushing is OK, but the disc and shower screen should be soaked and cleaned regularly. I remove these parts and soak them along with the portafilter and basket at least twice monthly in a solution of JoeGlo. It is amazingly fast. You can also backflush, but I'd try this first.

Does the Tebe have a 3-way valve? If so, it should be backflushed. However, if it does not, then you can't backflush and you have to manually disassemble the showerhead and scrub everything clean.
If it does have a 3-way valve, you need to get a blind filter and some detergent like Cafiza. Put a small scoop of detergent in the blind filter, lock in, then run the pump for five seconds and switch it off. The detergent should vent out the 3-way valve and clean the crud out. Repeat several times until the water starts coming out clean. Then rinse out the remaining detergent and backflush several more times with just hot water.
If one or more holes are blocked, you may also need to do a descale of the entire machine. Get some good descaler and run a thorough descaling regimen. Hopefully that will open up the holes and let the machine work much better.

iv'e tried descallj.ng. nothing seam to open the 3 blocked holes. this machine has 3 way. shuld i use blind filter ?

Hello John - no - its not the first time I try to clean and I've descaled it a lot of times (also removed the shower screen and cleaned it a lot of times)- but the holes behind it seam to be blocked (3 of 4). we don't have the JoeGlo. do you know of any common material to backflush (some other manufacturere from a known brand?) Thanks...
