I've been slowly working the home front negotiating the budget for my first "serious" machine, and am aiming for a QM Anita.
Meanwhile, I check Ebay, CG, HB etc for potential deals, and have come across these possibilities. Any feedback on them in terms of price and machine capability (as compared to the Anita) would be much appreciated.
Reneka ?? - I am still getting more info on this, but apparently it "works fine" albeit it looks pretty dirty, and they are asking $300.
Livia 90 - Looks very clean. Tey are asking $600. Decent price?
La Pavoni 2 group something - Right group electronics work, but no water flow. Left workd "perfectly". They are asking $250.
As you can see, I don't know a lot about makes and models, so if there are any specific questions to ask regarding known issues etc., please let me know.

The reneka single is huge and built like a tank its about 16 inches wide and all of 18 inches tall without the legs. They got a fair price on it if it's working. I picked up one really cheap (Like $100 )and have started to work on it but got involved with more fun projects like making bottomless portafilters and PIDng the Zaffiro and repairing big grinders.
It's a direct attach set up not thermosyphoning, and the boiler is huge. Take a while to warm up and would produce shot after shot. 2000 watts I believe though maybe 1500. Solid old school commercial design.
I'd much rather have the Anita in my kitchen. Only the most understanding partner would put up with the reneka single because of the size
I'll leave the livia and the la pavoni to those with far more experience with them.

In my opinion I will stay away from the reneka parts are sold only from Boyds coffee and they are very expensive ( like any other French machine parts and of course some Italian too) (I have some parts in stock) the design of the machine is very poor pavoni is the old model some of those parts has well are hard to find and expensive pasquini at least is smaller and parts are still available

Excellent feedback on the Reneka. Yep, my partner would not be happy about that at all.
I think the Pasquini would be a decent machine for me, but although the price is decent, it doesn't feel great. And if that is the case, I might as well continue down the path of waiting to get what I really want.
