My shot times started started ranging all over the chart.  I concentrated more on my technique to no avail.  I cleaned the grinder: no change.  Finally, I ran the cleaning powder through my espresso machine and voila: nice consistent times.  Lesson learned.

Awesome advice. I have a reminder set on my calendar for a grinder cleaning every month. Seems to keep things running well in my little world.

Cheers,
