Espressoparts is currently selling the Lyra Rotary for $1400.00. I recently purchased one from Terry Z after I was infected by upgrade-fever.
I love the Lyra, it is much larger than the Giotto I had, but my shots more consistent. For whatever reason my ristretto's are sweeter than I had before, and yes I am building the shot the same as on the Giotto.
I however did not like the steam wand, it was too short for me and I found it awkward to work with. This was a personal problem as the machine has more than ample steam. With the very kind help of the EspressoParts staff I replaced the wand for $20.00 and now I am completely happy with the performance of this great machine.
Plumbing was easy in my kitchen and not having to fill the reservoir is such a luxury.
I would not hesitate to recommend this machine to anyone in the market for a performance espresso machine who has ample room for it.

It's a bit more complicated in a case like yours. When adjacent to a sink it's easy enough to just put in a fittin in the straight part of the sink drain before it curves for the trap - that's how dishwashers usually drain.
In your situation it might be doable but there are a few issues. Most drain pipes eventually feed into the main drain pipe that handles all outgoing waste and graywater. In older homes it's four inch cast iron and to tap into it requires a special chain style wrench for cutting out a section and a black rubber and clamp asssmebly that fits the new inlet into it. If you can find some other horizontal drain pipe, e.g. one coming from a first floor bathroom sink or perhaps form the kitchen sink.... it might be easier. It's crucial to have adequate slope for drainage to occur correctly. I don't recall the exact slope and it may vary based on code in your area but I think the horizontal run has to have at least 1/4" downward slope per foot of linear (horizontal) run in order to be assured of trouble free drainage. Email me directly if this is not clear enough.

The Mininova that Casa Del is selling is the Lyra. They are sell it under the name Mininova, when it should be Mininova 2002 or Lyra, no difference. The old style MIninova (black top is no longer available) The price is good, given you are willing to pay duty as well. I guess I would consider shopping the price a little. You might be suprised what kind of deals you get by asking ;-)
This is an older Junior. It could easily be 8 years old and made very well. Great project machine for someone. In my opinion this would be one of the best machines to start off with. Getting parts is a breeze and they have a very straight forward design.
It's a commercial machine. Big and heavy. E-61 group head.

I just noticed something. The seller of the ebay machine is also from Connecticut. I have heard of them but I do not know them. I stand by what I say about Wega's. Kevin
