Anyone familiar with the above controller?
I recently bought one on eBay for the seemingly bargain price of $35. It looks like a larger version of the 1/32 Din Fuji controller sold by TTI Global and discussed on Murph's Silvia PID page. I already own one of those and it works fine.
After stuggling with this new one, I downloaded the manual and finally seemed to get everything set right. However, the SSR output does not pulse on and off--a continuous voltage is output which quickly sends the temp way past the SV. I've gone over the parameters again and again but cannot find what I've done wrong. I just don't think its broken--something needs resetting. If someone out there is familiar with this controller, perhaps a few questions would help discover the problem.
The 4 model does not have a universal output, but one that is factory set to a specific mode. The 6th digit (PYX4xOxx-xxxx) on the model number shows what the hardware output option is; if it's C or D, it's an SSR output, if it's E or F, it's a 4 to 20mA output, and you'll need an SCR rather than an SSR to use the unit.
