So after reading some threads with the attached (see the last pages of the attached manual):

My question is, what oscar models had this programming feature? What model years was this added?

I tried this on mine (3-4 years old) and it did. It work. Is there a computer board or some way to modify an older oscar to be able to access the Pre-Infusion and timed dosing modes?

Thanks for your help. And sorry if this is answered in a thread already that I just haven't been able to locate.

I've heard that before but frankly that doesn't make sense.

Is there a completely different model of Oscar for just Brew capsules? Does it not pull normal shots? Can you send me a link to it?

What I have seen is a pod adapter kit for the portafilter, but how would that affect the programmability of the machibe itself, and why couldn't a normal model be programmable?

Not pods... capsules.  I think this machine in this pic is set up for capsules.

So it is physically a different machine? Anyone have link to where those are being sold?

I don't see it on the Nuova Simonelli site, so I'm guessing they don't make it anymore.

Was hoping my machine was set for pre-infusion because it took a good 10-12 seconds before it would get up to brew pressure, but instead I had to order a new pump.

This is the parts book published in 2008. Pod adaptor kits are available to use the teabag-style pods, but it does not appear an Oscar with a capsule group was ever offered domestically. Someone with access to NS TAS might be able to pull it up.
