I would like to install a metal Silvia wand on my Gaggia Classic. I know that this is a viable upgrade. However I'm having trouble figuring out which Sylvia wand to buy. On Espresso Parts I see the following items:
I've also heard references to a V2 though I can't seem to locate one. The major difference from what I can tell is the connector. The V3 connector looks like the one on the Gaggia Classic, but I can't tell for sure. I've also seen references to having to use an adapter.
Alternately, are there other metal wants that would be direct replacements for the Gaggia Classic which I should consider?

Hi, welcome to CG.
You want the V.1! If you try a V.3 you will probably have to machine an adaptor, in a lathe, and then the wand tip may be lower than you desire. You can very simply unscrew the Gaggia wand and look at the inserted end and see that it is like the V.1. It is referred to as the V.1/V.2 wand at times.
There is an O-ring up in the Classic fitting and it will usually stay when you remove the old wand. It will seal the V.1, so that you do not need to purchase new ones.
