Hello! I'm posting here because my Francis Francis x5 has stopped working. Specifically, water does not seem to be heating, and the steam wand does not turn on (or even heat up) when turning the knob.
I cracked it open this afternoon, and it looks like something has exploded. Specifically, examining the circuit board, it looks like one piece in particular has gone bad (burned out resistor?). I can post a pic if needed.
Any suggestions how I can fix this on my own? I'm a complete novice, but feel confident enough in my abilities. Thanks in advance!

Before spending any money on it, you might be better served by replacing to a different maker entirely. I had an X5 when I first started out, it looked cool but it was less than great. I ended up giving it away and bought a real machine. The main problem with any of the FF machines is that the boiler is too small, it is very hard for it to even approach consistency in the brew temp, worse than most SBDU machines.
Fix it if you like, I just wanted to let you know that money may be better spent for replacement. YMMV!
