Posted Thu Nov 7, 2013, 1:33pm Subject: Group Pressure Gauge Mod Question
I recently purchased a La Vittoria Valentina and really love this machine its built like a tank but precise enough to pull great shots. Only drawback (aside from being a vibe pump design) is it does not have a group pressure gauge. Since I always look at brew pressure every time I pull a shot, not having one is a deal breaker for me. Since I really like this machine I would really like to keep it. I already purchased a factory pump pressure gauge that matches the boiler pressure gauge already installed on this machine. I'm looking for the best place to tap into the machine to get the most accurate reading and minimal needle bounce. The setup seems similar to my old Quickmill Andreja, where it has an OPV valve in line right before the tubing goes into the heat exchanger. Theres also an additional OPV valve right at the ulka pump, similar to Rancilio Sylvia type design. Heres some pics.
