I started by understanding and copying this post by m16103 in this forum under Silvia Rancillo Mods: It is really m16103's work.
I bought the PID and p100 from Aubers who were great. They also gave me a heads up that the ssrs are different. One is a 24V DC in and the other is a 120V AC in. They were concerned with mounting ssr's inside machine due to high temperature. I put them on an aluminum plate with a lot holes drilled in it. It has been been working flawlessly for a year now.
I also had to make a change to the original circuit. The steam switch and steam temp controller went directly to the heater and not through the high temp safety shut off switch. Not sure if this happened in a much earlier repair or from the factory. I would be interested to know how yours is wired.
