Yes I bought some 1/4" clamps for the steam tube attachment directly to the boiler and steam wand.  The Delonghi ones are a real pain.  Only cost $3.  The Teflon tape isn't a must.  I have torn mine down a few times so the plastic piece that the steam wand fits in is a bit loose.  For the Mod you just need the steam wand the clamps and teflon tape if needed.

I found the wand here: http://www.espressoparts.com/R_1054

Can you point me to the right direction for the 1/4" clamps?  I just want to make sure I'm getting the right ones.

The EspressoParts site also recommends these O-Rings: http://www.espressoparts.com/R_1013.  I don't need them right?

Thanks!

I just needed the clamps and some teflon tape.  Didn't need any o-rings.

What did you do with the big gold nut that came with the wand? It won't fit in the black round casing but without it the wand just hangs loose.

Also. Where did you use the Teflon tape?

Thanks!!

I figured it out.  I missed the step about taking the black plastic spacer off of the old wand and put it on the new one.  I did that and all is good!
