I'm looking for a reputable place to buy the v3 steam wand upgrade I do not want to buy it from Seattle coffe gear... Anyone know any other place...

I think I bought mine from EP as well.  You need the whole wand/valve assembly, as you can't reuse the older valve and just swap out the wand.  

You should watch the how to video on SCG though (it's only about 10 min).  There's a washer you have to leave out when you do the swap so that the new assembly fits just right.
