Just when I thought I had it figured out.
I may have an opportunity to acquire a Unic Pony dual boiler. With dual 1 L boilers its way overkill for the amount of use I will give it, but it is an in production machine so I expect there will be parts available for a while.
Size wise it seems quite compact, maybe 2" longer than the CC1 and 1" wider.
Some questions. If I am pulling one drink a day (sometimes not even that) except weekends am I going to end up with a lot of stale water because there is not enough turnover? This is somewhat important because I will have to buy distilled water to reduce the hardness to something approaching reasonable.
This thing has volumetric dosing. I have no idea if I can override this or if that is desirable. Thoughts?
Hmm... does this thing have a 3 way valve for backflush/pressure relief?
Anybody have recent experience with this machine? I see a post from 2003 where Chris' Coffee called it junk, but some others that seem to like the machine.

In the real world, stale water is for the most part a myth. All volumetric machines can be operated in semi mode but you will love the volumetric feature I have no use of that machine, like anything used, condition is most important. The non standard pf might be an issue for aftermarket baskets etc.
