On page 4-5, you'll see my Silva V3 modification in progress. It also says that I used a V_1422 adapter from EP. Granted, that you see in the photos is not the V_1422 as it arrived from EP. It was bored out to fit the spring and the small end was chased with a M10-1.00 die (not tap, like I've been referring, sorry) to fit the Gaggia fitting properly.
In my opinion, if you "just want to get the Silvia V3 on a Gaggia", this should be an easy "just put it on" installation. But the repercussions are it won't REALLY fit properly and we won't be able to use the V3 tension spring, which will introduce metal-to-metal contact.
If you want everything to fit properly, it'll take a little work. I have a machine-shop so it was a pretty easy mod, but you could do it with two tools: a drill bit to open up the hole for the spring, and a M10-1.00 die.

The spring guide you posted looks like it's a replacement for the teflon one that comes with the wand. I would rather use the teflon variety to eliminate the metal-on-metal contact. Unless the mating surfaces are perfect and polished, I would not use it. Stick with the teflon stuff. If anything should happen, the teflon guide will be easier and cheaper to replace than the wand. I've have steam temps up to about 300F. Teflon can handle around 450F, so no problem.
The gasket also came with my V3 wand.
The spring also came with my V3 wand.
A friend ordered his V3 wand after following this thread and he also had to order a few extra bits. It was only shortly after I purchased mine. I think before ordering, perhaps it would be a good idea to call to ask because everything I needed came with my V3 wand.
