Hindsight is 20/20. My Silvia is from May 2001, & I've never tightened the showerhead screw more than fingertight & of course never have had a problem..

Sorry you had to go through all that mate.

Congrats on your new Silvia

First thing I did when I first purchased my Silvia was to replace the screw with a SS marine grade with Allen head.
This is much easier to screw/unscrew with a 90 deg. tool.

As a habit, whenever I backflush Silvia (once a month) I also take apart and clean the screen/jetbraker/difuser.
Silvia loves it... ;-)
