I've been tempted to insulate my Silvano's boiler since I'm trying to improve on heat stability and improve power efficiency. After looking into everything from silicone to polyfill and fiberglass, I've decided on silicone matting for the main boiler. Anyone try this yet? What's difficult is i don't have a scace thermofilter to document the temperature changes for recalibrating the temperature offset on the pid. Anyone have any luck on it, also any improvement in power consumption, temperature stability, shot quality?
