That is what I thought, cheap and not that hard of a mod. Marcio has done at least 2 Oscar rebuilds and said they made the most improvement in his opinion. I have thought about buying 25$ worth of them and selling them off here. I wish I lived by NS in Seattle, I just found out from another thread you can walk in and buy parts directly in Seattle store and not have to pay their stupid shipping charges. They are tiny things and a bunch of them will still weigh almost nothing to pop in the mail first class. I got my first pump from there before I realized I could get it from Chris with free shipping they charged me $20 to ship it. The price jump from $50 to 70 hurt my pocketbook. Espresso parts doesn't stock them, I have asked. Look at Marcio's thread. If you have an older Oscar you have to tap the group head to make the threads. Mine is an 09 and I expect I will have a threaded group head.
I wish Marcio had taken photos of where he attached his dial gauges better. But really what I want more than anything is a group head temp readout. I wish I knew more about the couplers and electronics needed so I would know what I need to order. I have looked at Ebay and I am over whelmed by the choices. On Marcio's thread there is a link to a Musica thread where they drilled the group head and put in a probe for temp and mounted it above the machine.
